...seeing the light...

I just finished a project...

It's called Chelsea's Shawl and you can read about it here.  When I heard the story of Chelsea, at Stitches Midwest, I knew that I needed to purchase this kit and knit this shawl.  I encourage you all to do the same.  Follow the link on the Chelsea's Light Foundation page to purchase the knit.  Let's all do something today to pay it forward.

...Down The Aisle...

One year ago we were celebrating the marriage of our youngest daughter Kate to Chris.  It was a beautiful day and a wonderful ceremony.

When our daughter Kate became engaged, she asked if I would design something for her bridesmaids.   She wanted something lacy, with beads, in different colors to compliment each bridesmaid and their likes and coloring.  Down The Aisle was born!
Down The Aisle is knit flat, attaching beads or pearls as you go.  The piece is then blocked and finally grafted together using the Kitchener stitch.

...Tollgate...

Up in the mountains of Eastern Oregon is a beautiful area known as Tollgate.  This is where our family cabin has been for over 50 years.  The cabin sits in a forest of tall fir trees, next to a clear, high mountain lake.  We have spent many days and nights in this gorgeous spot.

Introducing Tollgate:

Tollgate was designed with the idea that it can be worn instead of a jacket if the weather is slightly cool, or as an additional layer when it turns colder.    It’s the perfect accessory for a walk on a cool, autumn day.
