Stitches West
The monkeys were on the road again. This time to Stitches West with the Blue Moon Fiber Arts Sockateers. We Sockateers were intrusted with the management and running of the BMFA Booth at the show (thanks tina for the wonderful opportunity!). As you may have guessed, we had a great time, chatted with many Sock Club members, made a lot of new friends, sold a crapload of yarn (what am I saying, this stuff sells itself), and in general had a fabulous time. The numerous photos below really tell the whole story.............
Things we encountered on the road.....
California Worms, The Olive Pit, dogs in a car, an empty gas tank.....................(note to self, monkeys can not be left in charge of the car) ,even chickens......................
At the show ~
setting up, opening night, a little accident.....
At Purlescence........................
holding babies, kissing dogs, hangin' with friends (irishgirlieknits).
After the show, headed home.......
tired monkeys......
hangin' in the lobby...
monkeys at work
on the elevator....
...leaving the
hotel for the
open road...
our version of
the Foster Farm Chickens..........
Back at Blue Moon...
We have a lot of people to thank for this fantastic adventure. Debbie, thanks for the wine, it was delicious. Linda, thanks for the See's Truffles, yum! Stephan, thanks for the Cliff and Luna Bars, we ate almost all of them! Heidi, for the wonderful treats including monkey stuff and Girl Scout cookies. YOU ROCK! But most of all Tina for letting us do what we love most, talk about your wonderful, delicious, yummy yarn. We love you!
Gotta go now, must unpack!!

I'm so glad I got to see you lovely gals again! And so sorry I missed out on Saturday at Purlescence.
It was a crazy weekend for me full of lots of unplanned unpleasantries, but luckily it started with fun and lovin' at the BMFA booth!
Besides not preparing for SW properly (I had many plans to keep myself in check!), I forgot the snacks I had meant to bring you guys. Sounds like you guys were well-taken care of anyway, so I'm glad!
And I'm most glad to hear you are back safely!

I love it that you took a picture of the Olive Pit, ha ha! I always crack up when I pass that sign. I'm glad you let the monkeys loose after the show so they could have some fun. It was great fun seeing you guys and I'm looking forward to seeing you at camp!

Ha!! That picture of the tired monkeys TOTALLY captures the post Stitches feeling!
Loving what I picked up at the BMFA booth this time around, thanks again for being so sweet with this neurotic yarn shopper =)
